    Mass Effect Texture Problems

Anyone got Mass Effect on the PC and notices all the texture problems? I have all the settings up full yet textures are either pixelated or look really low quality.

    PC specs:

    i5 2500k
    4GB RAM
    GTS250 1GB
    Win 7 Pro x64
    Lastest drivers

Try turning film grain off. I had this problem when I first got Mass Effect. You can turn film grain back on after for the high resolution textures.

Not really sure of the extent of your texture problems, but mass Effect did have a few issues.

1 example was Garrus looking very low quality.
There was also some texture popping issues in the game, but nothing to bad.

I believe this was fixed with the latest patch. So make sure you have patched to the latest.

And as already mentioned, turning film grain off does help.

(Bit off topic but, I always do this on any game that offers it though, simply because I can not stand the look of FilmGrain)

The problem I had when I first got ME was I set all the graphic settings to highest with film grain on, but all the textures on Shepard and all other character models with low quality, pixellated textures. Simply disabling film grain fixed the textures and they were all what they should be. Re-enabling film grain after was fine and the textures stayed as what they should be.

I don't understand why they even include film grain effects in games.
Quite a few games have it...

I like it in Left 4 Dead where you can set the amount of film grain. Having a slight grainy effect I don't mind, but ME does put quite a heavy one on.

Ya I remember that the lil I played me- the game was to slow and buggy for me- I am not really into 3rd view either- It can be cool sometimes for screen shots etc. dead space was cool- think I played max pane 2 demo it was cool. I turned off that grain stuff in me tho.

I could kind of see it in say l4d games I do not have either- I do plan to get them someday- I hate being poor- but I can maybe see the grain stuff making a game like l4d a lil more creepy.. Ha ha.. I love zombie stuff- Ha ha zombies should invade all games if I have anything to say about it..

I want to get red dead and dlc's- I read its a great game, 1 of the best so they say. I guess it might be 1 of the next games I get if I ever get the extra cash and maybe another vid card too.. I do not know if it is a system hog or what- my 88 vid card might play it ok?

One of my fav movies is zombielands- I can watch it every week and love it- its funny as all get out.. Ha ha the rules. Now I want a Twinkie lol.. Oh ya- love to have the babe too.. She better leave my dang truck alone tho..
