Windows 7: Jaca window too small

I bought a new computer with win 7, a 24 wide screen monitor, from dell.
When I go to pogo and play the games, the java games opens in the internet explorer window and it is so small you can't play the games. The ie window is large but the java window is minute. I tried the ctrl+0 (zero) but it ony enlarged it a tiny bit. What can I do other than changing the resolution of my desktop?
I can change the resolution but it has to go so small that the rest of the viewingis awful and it is a pain to have to change everything just to play those games.
I was wondering if there were any way to make the fix with the ie window. I even tried the chrome browser and it is the same thing.
