Windows 7: games only showing up in Admin Acct

The last 3 PC CD-games I installed only show up on my Admin Acct. and not in my user accts. Icons are on Admin Acct....no icons on user accts. Also in the user accts the programs are not listed under "Programs" in start menu. I can find them if I go to the Control Panel to install/uninstall programs. They are listed there! BUT...if I right click on them it says "uninstall". So thats out. I thought maybe it would give me an option to "create short cut". BUT..no luck.

So, how can I find them to create a short cut? These games are by Mumbo Jumbo and they are not listed either in the start menu programs. I did a search there and nothing came up.

Can anyone help or suggest something?

Some games will give you the option to "Install for All Users". A lot of the older games don't do that.

Richard....It didn't give me the option! So now what??? I no the games are somewhere because I can uninstall them, but why can't I find them?

go on admin and go to the shortcut then right click on it and then select "open file location"

this will take you to where it is installed, just make a note of its location in the address bar and you can find it on the other accounts and make shortcuts for it.

the alternate method is to right click the shortcut and select "properties"

it will give you the location of the file and you can write that down to find it and make a shortcut in the non admin

Thank you cloud! I did that and managed to find them. They are 2 games on one cd. (Samantha Swift Hidden Roses Of Athena....and....Nancy Drew Message in a Haunted Mansion) OK...I was able to make a shortcut for the Nancy Drew one, BUT...I made one for Samantha Swift one and when I tryed to open it....A pop-up appeared and said "Access Denied" and it would not work. Why is this???

in the administrator account you must go to the game location and right click on the exe file.

go to security and click "edit..." when give full control to the game on all accounts.

Thanks Cloud....I'll give it a try, but , I get the same message there when I click on it "File Access Denied!"

Well Cloud......I wrote to MumboJumbo customer service and they replied right back and said "Just right click on icon and click on..."Run as Administrator". Soooo, I did that...and low and behold...the game loaded! I have no idea why it didn't when on admin acct. Anyway, it plays.
