Windows 7: gamepad keyboard mapping software ?

Hello,

I've got thrustmaster 430 gamepad, it has this micro steering wheel around D-Pad. Problem is some games don't detect it and i started looking for some software that would allow me to map my gamepad buttons on keyboard/mice.

I've found GlovePIE program, but it felt so complicated, had a lot of options i felt lost and eventually left it. It had a lot of direct input stuff so it might be possible to map this micro-wheel.



Then i found xpadder, there's still some outdated freeware version. I must admit software itself is pretty impressive, easy to use... but even if this software detects my gamepad's micro-wheel it can't be bound.
Maybe paid and updated version would support it, i don't know.

This leaves me with searching more, so i ask here.


Btw. is there any way of using gamepad analog buttons/sticks in windows other then mapping it as mouse? (xpadder does it quite good)
Because you know, mapping something analog as a keyboard key makes it digital... on or off.

Hey, thanks for your post but seems none of these programs does what i would like it to do.

It's a nice software but it doesn't recognize my gamepad's micro-wheel, already tested that some time ago.

Hi,

the best i know is ctk... Download gamepad to keyboard mapper, free. - play every game with gamepad or controller.
don't need to be be configured, only start and go...

there is also pinnacle game profiler, not free but very good, there is a forum and members map their keypads and upload the configurations so you just have to download a configuration for the game you want, may be more tricky for the micro steering ,but im sure you could configure it yourself.
