Maxis Full Tilt 2 Working in Windows 7

For all you pinball lovers who own Full Tilt 2 by Maxis and get frustrated that the installer doesn't work (even in troubleshoot compatibility from properties), here is how I managed to get it working.

1. Have a copy of Full Tilt 2 (hopefully a legit one).

2. XP mode installed and running on your windows 7 system.

3. Start XP mode, log in and after the system is booted, place the CD into the CD/DVD drive

4. Go to My Computer and find your CD/DVD drive, double click on the setup folder, and find the setup application icon, then double click.

5. If all goes well, it should install without any problems, and create a folder called 'Maxis' under C:\Program Files.

6. Insert a USB flash drive into your system and make sure it is mounted using the USB link at the top of your Virtual Machine, then copy the 'Maxis' folder onto your USB drive.

7. Remove the Maxis CD (might consider making an ISO of it for safe keeping) and unmount the USB flash drive from the Virtual PC (this will return control of the USB flash drive to Windows 7).

8. In Windows 7, copy the 'Maxis' folder to C:\Program Files (x86).

9. Unmount the USB flash drive, then locate the 'Maxis' folder and double click on the Pinball2 icon (looks like a pinball, btw).

10. This should give you a choice of three games, select one and click OK.

11. The games will start off the screen (at least they do on my system), so center it, change what options you like (de-select CD Audio and if you want music, select it), brightness, etc.

12. Enjoy playing (I can confirm all three games work in my Windows 7 Ultimate x64 box) @ 1024x768 (max. resolution available).

Hope this helps someone else in here
