Counter strike 1.6 not working on my Windows 7

hey guys i just install counter strike from my computer windows 7 64-bit and When i start Counter Strike 1.6 i get a black background and just hear the music, when i move the mouse i hear the menu sounds and i know that it has started but no display whats the problem anyone know?

While I've seen nothing official on the subject I have seen on these forums a lot of people having issue with the G31 intel graphics and win 7.

Unfortunately none of them have gotten back to me, so I don't know if any of the suggestions I have offered have been of any assistance.

i tried to run on the compatibility mode but still not working, tried to turn on DEP still not working any ideas how to run this sick game?

Just to confirm you turned DEP off for cstrike.exe and turned it on for the Half Life Launcher? if not i would try that.

You need to turn DEP OFF for cstrike.exe, locate the half life launcher (hl.exe) in C:\Program Files\Valve add that and turn it on in DEP. Let me know how you go.

Well I'm back to my initial post in this thread.
You need to update the driver for the intel graphics.
I can't find a proper win 7 driver for it though, I'm guessing you are running a vista driver and it's probably the source of your issue.

Weird, CS 1.6 worked just fine on my PC.

Some games have a bug where you need to insert some headset etc. to the computer before the game works well... (Atleast on first launch)

I remember atleast Call of Duty 2 having this.

So to confirm, you have this driver installed? also have you tried a re-install at all? i just tested 1.6 on mine and it works well, i will keep thinking of things in the meantime.

installed that driver link you gave and re install cs and still the same problem sir, would you mind checking it on TV whats the problem going on to my pc?

If this is the normal CS off of steam then I don't know what's going on, I can't reproduce your error even if I try to make it fail. I did manage to get a blank screen, but only because I manually set it to resolution my monitor doesn't support.

2048x1024.

If you don't have the steam version you just need to enter your key into steam and it'll download the most current version updates and all for you. Otherwise you can only play on hacked servers anyhow since counter strike was basically made to run via steam.
This is why the player id's are steam ids.

Hey guys, my cs1.6 works on full screen but when i start it there are big black blocks on the sides of the screen on the menu. And i have to play it like that only. Please help!
I think it has something to do with the resolution.
