Xfire does not work with dx10 or 11 running Bad Company 2. You will have to manually change the game's renderer and xfire's renderer for battlefield bad company, to direct x 9.

This is how you change the Game's renderer to DirectX 9.

    Open the file "settings.ini" in

    C:\Users\*****\Documents\BFBC2\settings.ini

There's a line there that says

    DxVersion=auto

Auto = It uses the latest DirectX version supported by your video card.
9 = It forces the game to use DirectX 9
10 = It forces the game to use DirectX 10
11 = It forces the game to use DirectX 11

    Change it in Xfire

Open Xfire and go to Tools>Options>Games.
Highlight your game on the ‘Installed Games’ list by clicking it.
Once your game is highlighted you can use the 'In-Game Renderer' drop-down menu to select from the available render modes.
    Click Apply.
    Click OK.
    Restart Xfire (Xfire | Exit).

    Give that a go.

    Hi

Not sure this will help but I typed into google, service like xfire and seen this page of said like services..>

Xfire Alternatives and Similar Software - AlternativeTo.net

I almost remember folks talking about a like service- maybe not all of same features- I can not think of it now- battle net maybe- sorry. If I can remember I will post back at ya..

Maybe the link I posted will help ya tho..

You might even be able to add the games to steam and play- tho maybe not have the actual steam game [bought from steam]- you can add non steam games to its client and I think still play mp or co op with others. I am not sure I have never added games to steam. I do think I remember folks at codaddicts saying I could add my codwaw game to steam and play with them online. I guess you can do it with most any game if all you are looking for is playing with friends.

I would guess most gamers already have a steam account- or you should be shot if not- no just playing. But if you do not have steam it is a great service and simple download and install the client- go to options and make what setting changes you feel fit- net speed etc- on off friends or what steam can do as notifications or while gaming etc- turn cloud on off if wanted or not.. I like steam- most folks do- some folks say they have probs with it- I think most are very happy with the service..

I will post back If I come up with other info- Have fun..
