To me the graphics seem even inferior to the original Shift.
I've seen quite a few people say that, but I don't see it. In fact I think in some areas it seems nicer, the rest looks the same. Then again it has been a while since I played Shift, so memory may be fuzzy.
Some of the new "effects" however are quite annoying.
(So too is that drifter guy who keeps appearing in the cut-scenes)

Car handling not impressive.
Sadly, no it's not. That's the biggest letdown of the game. If they nailed that, then everything else could almost be forgiven.
I use a MS 360 wheel and it's an absolute PITA to configure. Even after tweaking the wheel and adjusting car setups, it still just doesn't 'feel' right. More importantly, it's just not fun.

No wow factor what so ever.
Well, there is a wow factor. Unfortunately it's 'wow, why did they waste another oppurtunity to make an enjoyable game'.

Just seems like another one of them games , loads of hype and failed to deliver big time!
When will someone release a game that lives up to the hype? Seem to be getting fewer and fewer.
With the huge cost of game development these days, they have to hype them in order to re-coup costs. It's just the way things are now.
Hype to excite, make money from pre-orders and the early release sales, then hope to roll a turd in glitter with patches to attempt to keep after review sales up
