    problems lagging on online games

My dad bought me this toshiba laptop and it had windows 7 on it.
I was like okay and junk. I downloaded all my old stuff onto it and then played my favorite game rumble fighter. While i was playing i started to have these big lag spikes and i don't know how to fix it. Here is some speed test i took.

At times, also the ping can b 285 in a 50 mile radius . Someone give me some solutions to fix this lag on windows 7

    Are these at regular intervals?
Might be a Windows service pinging out.

Hi, make sure you have done all the windows updates and even Service Pack 1.
Second make sure that the only things you have running in the system try is your antivirus and sound. Since windows 7 hides the items you might have a lot of stuff starting on boot of the computer. These programs might be checking in with their server software for updates and causing the lag spikes.
