Crysis 2 stoped working When I'm done playing C2 and exit the game, I get this error message - "Crysis 2 has stoped working correctly" then another window says "windows is trying for find a solution to the problem" then the close program tab is highlighted and I click it and then the game will close. Never did it before. I've went from GPU driver 11.2 to 11.3 and I'm not sure if that's when the problem started. So I went back to 11.2 but still have the same problem. Any ideas, solutions. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom built OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit CPU AMD Phenom II X4 940 Black Edition Motherboard Asus M4N78 Pro Memory GSkill 4 X 2 GB PC 8500 Graphics Card PowerColor Radeon HD 4870 512mb GDDR5 Sound Card On board VIA High Definition Audio Monitor(s) Displays Dual monitors: HP W1907 LCD 19" and Gateway HD Display 19" L Screen Resolution 1440x900 Keyboard Logitech G510 Mouse Razor DeathAdder PSU Ultra X4 750 watt fully modular Case Ultra E-Torque mid tower ATX Cooling Core-Contact 92 mm CPU Cooler Hard Drives Seagate Barracuda 1TB (primary)

I get this problem with a couple of programs, as it is crashing on exit, I have never bothered to look into it. The only thing I can think of is as the program is trying to unload Dll,s it is getting stuck. Just an idea.
Have you looked at your event viewer, to see if this sheds some more light. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Self built OS Vista 64bit home premium CPU Core 2 Quad 6600 Motherboard Abit IP35 Pro Memory 4 x 1GB OcUK PC2-6400 C5 800 MHZ Dual Channel Graphics Card Leadtek GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB GDDR3 Sound Card creative x-fi Monitor(s) Displays Primary CiBox 22" Widescreen LCD ,Secondary Dell 22" Widescr Screen Resolution Both 1680 x 1050 Keyboard Trust ds-3200 Wireless keyboard and mouse Mouse Trust ds-3200 Wireless keyboard and mouse PSU Corsair HX 620W ATX2.2 Modular SLI Complient PSU Case Antec 900 Ultimate Gaming Case Cooling 2xfront 1xside 1xrear blue fan, 1 200mm blue top fan 1 Hard Drives 2 x 500G HD (SATA) Internet Speed 288 / 4000 Other Info Creative Inspire 7.1 T7900 Speakers

Usually uninstalling the video drivers + the physX drivers then cleaning the registry and installing fresh drivers clears that problem for me but... YMMV. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built OS Vista x64 + Windows 7 x64 (Ultimate) CPU Intel Q9650 w/CM 8V Motherboard EVGA 780i FTW Memory 8GBs Corsair Dominator 1066Mhz Graphics Card EVGA GTX260 + MSI 9600GT Sound Card Onboard Realtek HD Monitor(s) Displays Acer AL2216W Screen Resolution 1680 x 1050 Keyboard Logitech G15 Mouse Logitech G9 PSU PC Cooling 750w Silencer Case Thermaltake Spedo Advance Cooling See CPU Hard Drives WD VelociRaptor 160GB

If so, try and manually download the patch then apply it. I've got all my games on a seperate drive G-Drive and every patch, update, and DLC will find the games that need updating. I don't have to point to the drive. This shouldn't be a problem.
As for the OP's issue, the only suggestion I have would be to reinstall the game - uninstall then reinstall. And just to be safe, backup your "save" files.
Good luck | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Built by me OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 CPU Intel Core i7-950 (3.06GHz) OC to 3.8GHz Motherboard Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD5 rev 1, F6 Bios Memory Corsair Dominator -TR3X6G1600C8D (6GB - 3X2GB) Graphics Card AMD Radeon HD6950 2gig (Sapphire) Sound Card X-Fi Titanium Fatality Pro Monitor(s) Displays HP ZR22w 22" LCD Monitor Screen Resolution 1920 x 1080 Keyboard Logitech Wireless Wave Mouse Logitech Performance MX PSU Antec Signature - SG-850 Case Cooler Master HAF X Cooling Noctua NH-C12P SE14 Hard Drives Primary - OCZ Vertex 2 SSD (120GB). In short I doubt that is the problem. I'm just going on what I see..
I created a file on my E: Drive for installation, so I assume it's quite a common practice..
- and mis-naming a file would certainly prevent a patch from installing.. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number benchtec, built to personal specs OS 64-Bit Windows7 Ult-SP1 CPU i7-965 Extreme Edition (8 Cores) at 3.3GHz (no OC) Motherboard BloodRage QuantumForce X58 (Socket1366) Memory 6G Corsair Dominator DDR3 - tripled Graphics Card 2xMSI AMD6870's in crossfire Sound Card Sonar(SB)X-Fi onboard Monitor(s) Displays SyncMaster P2050 20" Screen Resolution 1600x900 (widescreen) Keyboard Logitech G19 (wired) Mouse Logitech G9 Laser (wired) PSU 1000w Corsair Case ANTEC 900/2 all blue lights, etc..
