    No shift \
c (caps or not/shift or not) colon, shift key semicolon key) \ (backslash key no shift [shift give you the Pipes (|) symbol]).

    Maybe your keyboard of bad.

Yeah i'm not pressing shift. It works here \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\
Don't know why it won't work in DOS. I noticed only the left shift key works for the colon as well. Hmm...

Did you put the games folder in program files (x86) or did you just put them on the main part of the C drive?

EDIT: Nevermind i've got it. I just dragged the JAZZ.EXE over the DOSBox shortcut again. Clearly it was the file path that was screwing me up. Thankyou for all the help. I really appreciate it :)

    help with DOSBox

maybe you could help me, i've been trying to save my progress in the game "magic carpet", but when I type: "Alt + s" in DOSBox appears a message that says: "Warning: file creation failed", so i never can't save my progress. I already made a folder in c:, named: games and the game's directory is in there. Appreciate your help.

    Greetings.

Make sure that, in Windows, you have write permissions to the game folder where it expects to save the game. If you can't put a file in that folder WITHOUT getting an UAC prompt, your game will be unable to save too.
