Right click the exe and run in compatability mode for windows xp/vista.

Right click exe, choose properties then go to compatability, proceed trying xp/vista and seven until you have success(or not).

I love XBOX Wireless Pad with my PC for gaming on TV in front of a couch. Almost everything worth playing works with it with minimal to no tweaking. Plus I love how it feels in my hand.

Try updating DirectX. Some gamepads miss a DX input file and simply updating DirectX can fix it.
