Firewall problem with Delta Force BHD
I have been playing this game, online, since 2003. I recently bought a new PC Win 7 Premium home edition. Athlon II 2.7Gb processor, 4 Gb of DDR3 Memory, and NVIDIA GeForce 6150SE video.
I installed the game, as an Admin, and the game plays perfectly in single player mode. The problem is when I try to play online. I can connect to the Novaworld, main server, can login, and get the list of available games. But I cannot connect to a game server.
I have opened a port in the firewall, port 17479, both incoming and outgoing UDP. I have also forwarded the port through my Westell modem, as is required. A check of the port, using PFPortchecker, says that the port is open, but that my machine can't be pinged. The windows firewall occassionaly flags me that portions of the game are being blocked, even if the firewall has been disabled. What gives????
I have been working on this problem for the last couple of days. I have uninstalled the game program, and have also wiped the HD and reinstalled Win 7. Gone through all the proper steps, and am still banging my head in frustration.
