Finished No 2. Really should have been longer - put in 35hrs or so compared to 53 or so with No 1. Great game, except why did they make half an game? Doesn't matter about the alternative choice, should have been longer in the first place.
just 35? did you do all possible side quests and went monster hunting from time to time? or were you as linear as can be?

Yeah... I knew what I was getting into. Either I'm a glutton for punishment, or a moth attracted to flame... which ever, I listen to you guys talk about these games, and I just gotta play em too. "maybe this one is different?" :)

What's really striking though is how the game scales.

All except 1 in the first Act. Left 1 or 2 sidequests in Act 2 and left 1 in Act 3. The game is linear compared to the first. That had separate areas you could actually visit.

i never beat the first one, i have it but never beat it. it just didnt draw me in as much as i thought it would, and at the time i found the Gameplay and all it threw at you a bit overwhelming. i guess i thought it would be a hack n slash, then i read about potions and side effects and all that junk and i was immediately put off by that. but this time around i am really enjoying it, im doing everything possible to make it last as much as i can.

You really need to beat the first one. Otherwise the atmosphere in the second is completely off. These are real RPG's, not watered down games (yet).

You'll get better armor as you go along. I'd only sell it when you do. I didn't use the trap for the kayran, just the potion which I highly recommend. If you have both, well, good.

So it is possible to use both on the karyan, i was afraid i would be wasting time if i did both then was only allowed to use one.

There is also armor further in I didn't even buy as I ran out of orens and didn't have any ingredients. One of them requires troll skin, but then what will happen to the troll?
