To play without inserting disc all the time

I have some used audio CDs I want to rip. Some of them are scratched so much that none of my computers recognize them. However, regular CD players can read them fine. I'm thinking maybe the reason for this is that an error at 48x is 48 times worse than one at 1x. I tried to find some programs...

Hi , Can't play a burned music DVD on new DVD player , but it will play on A Blu-RAY DVD PLAYER-- the disc is DVD-R- I made the disc on ROXIO from mp3's that I ripped from my regular Cd's. Should it play on a regular dvd player or is this the norm ? Thanks, Ralph

I'm running build 7100. It happens pretty regularly and only when I insert a data CD/DVD. As the system recognizes the disc, I get a message saying - Windows Explorer Has Stopped Working. I greatly appreciate any help I can get with this.
