    Wolfenstein 2009 probs on 7..


    Hey guys just installed win 7 the other day
    tried out some games like the latest Turok, works fine

    tried out the new Wolfenstein which worked fine on Vista, crashes straight away

    note*
    * i did the upgrade from vista so all my files and games stayed where they were
    * havent tried re-installing wolfenstein yet

    any ideas guys? thanks

    To many Variables I think. I would re-install the game just for good measure. If it asks you to install DX9, say yes and finish it

    Did you also update your video and audio drivers ?

    umm i tried running it with compatibility for vista still crashes, i havent tried updating video card either, ill reinstall and add direct x 9 and see what happens. thanks guys

    I installed fresh with relatively recent video drivers for a 285GTX card. No compatibility for anything needed, worked perfect through the entire game on x64.

    i m using intel 945 express chipset family card...i have also updated the drivers...but still it gives me the error message 'wolfenstein 3d has stopped workin'...i have reinstalled the game too but to no avail...what shd i do....plsssssss help me out !!!!

    Sadly that chip is really not meant for games and the drivers for it are probaly just not that good, leading to video driver crashes

    If you are going to play games like that you should go pop $80-$100 or so for at least a usable "low-end" gaming card like a nvidia 240 or 245 or something.

    well man thanks but other games like ea sports cricket 2008, return to castle wolfenstein run well...then this should also run....i m pasting the things i see in DOS error window with the heading 'unable to initialize video system'....see if anyone can help any further....
