All games not working... I wasn't really sure where to put this so I just decided to here.
Anyway, last week started playing Portal again but as I finished the 1st level, my monitor went blank and a message popped up saying 'Monitor is going to sleep...'. The lights on my wireless keyboard/mouse modem went off (so I'm assuming it turned off). This happened every time I tried it and thinking it was just the game, I gave up.
Just today, I started re-playing Fable: The Lost Chapters. About a minute in, exactly the same thing happened. I tried again, and the same thing happened. I tried with Halo: Combat Evolved and the same thing happened.
I have no idea what's happening so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jaidyn | My System Specs |

Type power in the start search box, Power Options>Change Settings>Advanced Options and see if the sleep time is set too low. If so adjust to your liking. The advanced options will allow you to change many parameters for sleep. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Home Built Desktop By DataTech OS Windows 7 Ultimate X64 SP1 CPU Intel i5-2550K, Differing ~4.4-4.8GHz No built in GPU Motherboard ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 Memory 16GB G.Skill Sniper 2133MHz 4x4GB Graphics Card ASUS ENGTX460 DirectCU/2DI/1GD5 GeForce GTX 460 Sound Card Onboard Realtek 5-1 Monitor(s) Displays Samsung P2570HD Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Old, beat-up Dell USB From 10 yrs Ago Mouse Gigabyte m6900 wired PSU Corsair HX650W Case Inwin Dragon Rider Cooling Hyper 212 EVO w/two Noctua fans, push-pull, @1300 RPM Hard Drives Crucial M4 128GB for OS, 750GB Seagate MomentusXT for data, 500GB Seagate Constellation for storage Internet Speed 8-19 Mbs down, 3-4 Mbs up Comcast Cable Antivirus Norton Internet Security Browser IE 9, Opera when needed Other Info 4 case fans, LG BluRay-RE, ASUS DVD-RW, Mr. Fusion power generator with flux capacitor, 1.21 gigawatts. |

Try downloading GPU-Z Download TechPowerUp GPU-Z v0.5.3 | techPowerUp
Run the program, and select the Sensors tab. Check the options Log to file (accept the default filename and location) and Continue refreshing this screen while GPU-Z is in the background.
Use your computer as normal. The log file will automatically be updated in the background. The next time this happens, check the log file. I suspect that it could be an overheating issue, and that your card is turning itself off. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Dwarf Dwf/11/2012 OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 Service Pack 1 CPU Intel Core-i5-3570K 4-core @ 3.4GHz (Ivy Bridge) (OC 4.2GHz) Motherboard ASRock Z77 Extreme4-M Memory 4 x 4GB DDR3-1600 Corsair Vengeance CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B (16GB) Graphics Card 2 x AMD Radeon HD7770 1GB CrossFired (OC 1100MHz/1250MHz) Sound Card Realtek High Definition on board solution (ALC 898) Monitor(s) Displays ViewSonic VA1912w Widescreen (VGA) Screen Resolution 1440x900 Keyboard Microsoft Comfort Curve Keyboard 3000 (USB) Mouse Microsoft Comfort Mouse 3000 for Business (USB) PSU XFX Pro Series 850W Semi-Modular Case Gigabyte IF233 Cooling 1 x 120mm Front Inlet 1 x 120mm Rear Exhaust Hard Drives OCZ Agility 3 SSD 120GB SATA III x2 (RAID 0)

Sorry the power settings didn't help you. Have you changed/upgraded any hardware recently? Aside from a possible graphics chip melt down, there is a possibility of the monitor being bad too. I recently had one go bad after only 18 months.
Is your graphics built-in the motherboard?
EDIT: I checked the spec, yes it is. There is a graphics driver dated 7/15/2010, V8.15.10.2119, check to see if yours is up to date.
New BIOS too 12/8/2010, P5G41T-M LX 0604. There is a beta BIOS listed, but I never use a beta BIOS and don't generally recommend updating unless there is a problem, which you do have. P5G41T-M LX Downloads
