    Starcraft (original) doesn't re-size.

Ok so I just installed a new EVGA 750i motherboard with a new EVGA Superclocked 8800 GT, I have a 19" monitor with a native resolution of 1440x900 (16:9 aspect ratio) on my computer and when I try to play starcraft it re-sizes itself so that I have 2 big black lines on the side of my screen (similar to 4:3 aspect ratio) normally it would just either change the resolution? (im guessing) or would change the aspect ratio but now it is not doing this. How come? how can I fix this problem? (I have updated the latest drivers for my graphics card)

I've changed the resolution to 800x600 and try to run starcraft but the same problem occurs. it doesn't want to get out of the 4:3 aspect ratio

I ****ING FIXED IT, **** YEAH

it had to do with the scaling settings in the Nvidia Control Panel, it was set to "aspect ratio" before but I changed it to "full screen" and now starcraft runs in full screen without the black lines on the side (4:3 aspect ratio)

oh, i didn't even see this thread, i was thinking it was something to do with the scaling options, if you set it to aspect then it will give you black lines if not at the right aspect ratio, i like the black lines as it doesn't degrade the picture quality whereas fullscreen "stretches" the image and blurs it slightly, giving it that 80's american TV look about it, glad you've got it sorted though mate, this information will help others with the same issue.
