cant get CoD WaW to install

I'm going to ask for help. I'm really unfamiliar with laptops in general... so let's get someone who knows more in here.

It is interesting that Gateway support doesn't list your model. When searching for ATI drivers for your GPU, the G version isn't listed. Going the "other radeon mobility" route brings you to this message:

AMD has provided a list of the major laptop manufacturers and corresponding support websites below for your convenience.

However, on that address Fumz listed:

There is a link to Download Hardware Vendor Detection Utility

But I suspect it will lead you to the ATI driver site. You might download and run it and see if you can glean any more info.

That GPU is a decent GPU
