    Games stuttering on LAPTOP

Hey, i have alienware m15x which i bought for gaming, but the game perforance is not up to the mark and are stuttering. Please suggest me how to tweak or remove this stuttering problems. FIFA 11,Need for speed SHIFT2 etc are the games.

At first the games worked perfectly fine, but then suddenly they started to stutter, then i updated the drivers and it was fine again. Then again the problem appeared. I am tired of this, recently i re-installed the WINDOWS 7 and my WEI dropped to 3.6 from 5.1

    the WEI is as followed

    Memory(RAM) -4.2
    Graphics -6.7
    Gaming Graphics -6.7
    Primary Hard Disk -5.9

    Hello there, uvi!

Do you have the latest drivers installed? DirectX?

Install the latest AMD drivers, after that, install the latest DirectX, and check how things go...

    AMD Graphics Drivers & Software
Download Details - Microsoft Download Center - DirectX End-User Runtime

    Cheers

Is the power plan perhaps not on High Performance? I usually see WEIs drop when it's rated on different power plans on laptops.

Thanks for the help guys. I had stealth mode turned on and off which caused the problems. As there was no stealth mode indication i was unable to find the root of problem. Now its all done and dusted

    THANKS for all the replies.!!

No related to gaming but when you rate a computer using WEI, windows automatically uses the "High Performance" power plan and switches back to the last selected plan when the rating has completed.
