    Black borders on gameplay

hi!! I have a quite annoying problem. i play several games on windows 7 64bit with a nvidia 9800 gt, and some games like alice maddness return, the witcher 2 and assassin's creed has black border on top and bottom of the screen (2-3 cm in lenght) as it is 16:9 format. i use an acer of 19' , i got a NATIVE resolution of 1280x1024 on both desktop and game. i don't have this problem with hunted the demn forge and brink... i have updated my video drivers to the last version i thought to solve the issue, as there was somethin like : new user interface for scaling issue. nothing. help!

If the game settings support automatic aspect ratio you should enable that. You don't want 16:9 ratio as you have a 4:3 resolution on your monitor.

The problem here is aspect ratio.

Well, we have 2 options for you, set the in game resolution 1280x1024 or go to the nvidia control panel and go to adjust desktop size and position>scaling and choose full screen option, apply and try again

Alice may always have the black Borders unless you have a 16:9 monitor.

Ive been seeing reports it may be a bug, and even shows the borders on a 16:10 display. Hopefully a patch will resolve it.
I can confirm on a 16:10 display there are black bars, even with the correct resolution set.

So this particular game may have nothing to do with your setup at all, if your resilution is set correctly in game as already mentioned.
