still does it, ive ran the fps command in killing floor and when it hangs it drops my FPS. I think my video card is the culprit here. Shame really, it got good reviews on much more demanding games...

Is there an option in your bios that lets you choose how much RAM to share with your video card? Most laptops will let you do that. If so, I'd try at least 1gb.

I can tell you that you are not alone! i've bought the same laptop a year ago, and mine started to do exactly the same thing after a few weeks... i've search the web, even had pros look at the laptop, can't find the source wich result in random freezes. How ever i've found one game wich dosnt freeze! for some reason i have no problems what so ever with Battlefield 3. please state if you found a solution since your last post!:)

Really? I didnt buy Battlefield 3 for the PC for this exact reason. Perhaps it has something to do with the frostbite engine and the fact that it is a very new game? IE designed for Windows 7...

Just letting you guys know I am having this same problem with my new laptop. I even have a 2gb dedicated card in their.

Same problem with random hangs in Killing Floor, Warcraft III, and Diablo 3 beta.

Well for what it is worth, I wiped the machine and reinstalled windows fresh. Seems to have helped. I havent tried killingfloor yet but i have been able to play dead rising 2 without any issues
