Explorer not responding with Starcraft 2

    Hi All,

I've been having a lot of trouble with Starcraft 2 running on computer at the moment I'm using windows 7 64 bit. Whenever I minimise Starcraft explorer is not responding and needs to restart.

I've tried running in safe mode and removing all the programs on startup so I'm pretty sure it's not a conflict. I've tried repairing the program nothing seems to work. The strange thing is I used to be able to minismise and come back all the time without a problem this has only recently started to happen.

Any further tips you guys could give?

    many thanks
    Peter

    Hi thanks,

Yes you were right I'm already playing on high performance. I've tried lowering the priority of the game and other applications I'm using in the hope that it would help but hasn't. I also ran SFC /SCANNOW but that didn't find any issues.

OK so the specs of my laptop are.

    Toshiba satellite Pro L650

    intel core i5 cpu m 430 @ 2.27GHz 2.217GHz
    4GB RAM
    64bit
    Windows 7

Sorry what other info would you like?

    many thanks

Could you tell me what GPU (graphics card) your laptop has? You can use Speccy Speccy - System Information - Free Download to find what GPU you have if you don't know.

Use the Intel Driver Update Utility Intel® Driver Update Utility to find new updated drivers for your Intel Graphics, and update them.

hey I tried it but it says that I have a custom toshiba driver so it can't update it. I went onto the toshiba website and there aren't any updates available for my model. Is there anything else I can try? Does it really matter if I download a non-specific driver update?

Just leave the Intel driver as it is. We'll try some other stuff first, but if those won't fix it, then we'll try re-installing the Intel drivers.

Could you update DirectX: Download Details - Microsoft Download Center - DirectX End-User Runtime
