also is that a good deal for 1000 dollars?

I never had a good opinion about prebuilt computers because with the money you pay for them, you can build a much more powerful PC custom tailored for your needs. The only thing is that you need a friend to help you put all the components together if you don't know what you're doing. I have no idea where you live, but on newegg.com you can build yourself a monster gaming PC for that price.

The most important element in a gaming PC is the videocard, which needs to be damn powerful and your prebuilt configuration severely lacks one.
Keep in mind, first you get a powerful videocard, then, with the remaining money, you just build you system around that card. But don't get too low quality CPU or HDD, or your card will be bottlenecked. And 4GB of DDR3 are enough imo.

The specs in pre-built PC's are never good for gaming. Keep in mind that they do everything on the cheap to keep the price down so they can compete with the other PC's sitting on the shelf next to them. Since you already have a monitor, keyboard, and mouse...you can take that extra money and build your own, more powerful, more reliable, gaming rig.

Everything in these Pre-built PC's is low grade, mass produced, garbage. Cut out the middle man and do it yourself. Building your rig is easier than you might think, and fun.
