    Xbox controller on PC

I bought the new FIFA11 for PC and i don't think it would be possible to play it on a keyboard. I was just thinking to buy an xbox 360 wired controller to play it on my PC. Is anyone using such a combination?
How easy the controller is on a PC?
    Is it worth it?
    Any other alternatives (other brands)?
In many PC games like FIFA11 they just put the same game for PC without even changing the xbox interface so it is impossible to play it on a PC.

I did the same, bought FIFA11 and as it's horrible playing FIFA with a keyboard I bought a wired Xbox 360 Controller for Windows. Works perfectly fine, and with plenty of other games too.

Yep, works great and is the most compatible with PC games nowadays.

So it seems that there is no better alternative and I should go for the wired controller.
Thanks all for your quick replies...

here is some info Connect An XBOX 360 Controller For Windows To A PC >>> How to connect an XBOX 360 Controller for Windows to a computer - Your Digital Life - Microsoft NZ

If you have a wireless controller, then you'll need to purchase a Xbox 360 Wireless Reciever for Windows from your favourite retailer.

When I bought mine they both come with the connector, they were both official ms products so officially they should have all parts to enable connection. I think only if you buy the pad must you also purchase the fob(as I call it).

The wireless controller works, I use mine all the time. However, if you have the chatpad (see pic below) it will only work with the wired controller. And that's only because the boys at xbmc worked hard to make their own driver for it. You'll have to search the xbmc forums to find out how to make it work.
