    Game Controller Configurations

    Hi,
I'm trying to reinstall a game controller on Win 7 64 bit, but every time I replug the controller into a usb port it shows the previous settings.

How can I remove the settings from my machine so I can do a fresh install of the game controller.

    Thanks,
    Pete

What game controller is it? And what is the problem with the current 'settings'?

    Hi,

I have three controllers all working through the USB ports - Fanatec GT2 Wheel, Fanatec Clubsport Pedals and a Leo Bodnar PCB controller.

The main problem is that Windows Game Controller lets you configure the Leo Bodnar but there is no way to delete that configuration and reinstall the controller and configure a new profile for it.

I'm thinking of trying a Wingman utility to clear all the gaming configurations and re-install them all.

Do you know where the controller configurations are held in the Registry ??

    Thanks,
    Pete

Can't you modify the current configuration?

No, Windows Games Controller won't let you do that, it doesn't work correctly, it doesn't set the individual controller to default and it won't let you recalibrate the existing controller. I could do it originally by changing USB ports but now I've run out of port to try.

I'm going to try one of the WingmanTeam utilities that deletes controller details from the registry.

It's a shame that Microsoft can't produce a more robust piece of software
