Battlefield Bad Company 2 shares online games between PC and XBox360
- people join via XBox360 while I'm playing via my PC rig..

it could be my eyesight, though..

Now if you have 2 PC's and 2 copy's of the game, your set, Xbox 360 controller is Plug-n-play with windows and the Call of Duty line does have controller support.
As well if you have 2 Xbox 360 and 2 copy of game, but you would have to learn to play with the controller.
I cant say about black ops, however i know MW2 and anything before DOESNT have controller support. You can download programs and set the setting to work with these, however its not ideal. Also PC FPS's games are alot harder than consoles as the mouse offers more accuracy, and consoles also use a slight aim assist to aid with the use of the joysticks, which isnt given on PC. So unless your Brother is some aiming god, i feel he will struggle and find it unenjoyable. However feel free to try yourself, just offering advice.

Im sorry guys but i did have to laugh when he said Aiming God .

Whats wrong with what i said? :P People with mouse will always aim better then people using console controllers, and the fact that there is no aim assist, it would take you a fair bit of time to line up some shots, where as with a mouse it takes a fraction of a second.

I had no clue about the aim assist part and my nephew just isn't that good to begin with. This is all started because he thinks he can win without my putting up a fight at all. Needless to say when he plays COD BO online he is lucky to get a frag rate of 20/6 20 being deaths. I was also able to show him an old web page with some of my frag rates so he seriously wants to challenge me now.
