So I've searched for days for fixes to the problems I've been getting with only one game - Need For Speed Carbon. When I launch the game, I get "NFSC_link.exe has stopped working." I thought it was a game problem, but I read the error messages and I get this:

If I can remember everything I've done, here is a list of everything I have tried so far:
1) Re-install NFSC
2) Run unpatched as well as patched version of the game
3) Ran as admin
4) Ran in every compatibility mode
5) Scanned and cleaned system with Advanced System Care Pro
6) Downloaded a new KERNELBASE.dll, resulting in failure of windows booting (fixed)
7) Ran the game with a fresh account on Windows
8) Renamed .exe (when I thought it was a game problem)
9) Install latest video
drivers and windows updates
10) Probably a few more small things that didn't make a difference
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-Bit. This is the only program giving me the problem. I can attach any logs or dxdiag etc if anyone wants to have a look. Any help is greatly appreciated.
