The Cyborg R.A.T. 9 is the most customizable gaming mouse available. For a hardcore FPS player, my opinion is that it can suit any need. The downer is that it is very expensive.

Had a wireless G7, awesome mouse, ergonomics, speed, movement, 8.5/10... only issue was that at some moments (heat of battle or 45 to an hour into a heavy game), the mouse would jump/stutter/jitter/hesitate and sometimes I would get kill because of it.

This was very sporadic but, as everything, it annoys the hell out of you because, unfortunately for you, it happens at the worse moments.

Have the G9 now, 2 years into it I still can not get used to it, to quirky, can get use to its ergonomics, radical speeds at times, slow with other games... it could be better than the G7 but I miss my trusted old mouse

Now, do not misconstrue... your miles may vary and your hands are different than mine... I am merely stating my point of view.

This more than anything. It can have all the features in the world, but if it is uncomfortable to use it is pretty much worthless. Start with the features you want, then start looking for one that fits your hand comfortably.
