GTA IV on Win 7 SP1 Ph.X2 3.2 GHz
Hello dear forum members and especially GTA fans.
I have recently installed GTA IV (v 18.104.22.168) on my PC(see rig in my profile). It was a big lag.Afterwards I made latest Patch for IV.Then it started to run much better and smoother. There is some minor chops(in very detailed places) but the difference is surprisely big.My max temperature while gaming is 42 C with HYPER TX 3.
In game debate they say Phenom X2 3.2 GHz can not run GTA IV , but it can run it very well as I can see and tell:P.(very high settings ofc)
So what makes it run so good on dual core:
Latest update for GTA 4 ofc.
Good cooling system(hyper TX 3 or Plus 212)
Keep your video drivers updated. If needed update any other software.
It is reccommended to have SP1 on Win 7 , but I think for now everybody has done this update already.
A little overclock to 3.4 - 3.6 GHz and it will run it no lag at all .But a nice cooler is needed - that is the point here, not to overheat CPU so it can work in nice conditions.
Soon I will make a little video about it too :P
If anybody has found any other way to make GTA 4 faster please share it .
And by the way.I have set my resolution on max, but still all the edges are crispy, I would appreciate if someone could tell me how to fix those crispy edges.

Anti-Aliasing ? The game doesn't support it natively.
FXAA work around:
Enable FXAA in GTA IV, Mafia II, Dead Space, Mass Effect 2 and Other Games | BizzNtech
