    aoe 3 again same old compatibility issue with windows 7

    dear friends, i have tried and tested everything mentioned by users of this website but still i am getting this message


    my config. is 3 gb ram, i3 processor, toshiba satellite series laptop, i have already installed graphics card

    Maybe its cus your on a laptop. Even tho you could run the game on low setting s or something, the game wont start properly because of your low config. What comparability issues? i played it on w7 and it ran just fine. and this was before i got my graphics card.

    i dont know why my printscreen is not coming after my submission of message, but this is what iam getting

    "direct3d initialization failed
    possible causes:
    old or corrupt direct3d driver
    direct3d improperly installed
    hardware acceleration disabled
    starting the applicationwith workstation disabled

    Hi,

    This sounds like a DIRECTX problem, or a graphics card problem, or both.

    Firstly, ensure that your card has the latest drivers installed. Next, click the Start Orb, and in the search box type dxdiag, and then hit enter.

    You should see a panel similar to this one shown below. Click the Save All Information as a TXT file, then copy and paste the contents here, or upload the file as an attachement for us to look at.

    Click the Save All Information button, and then copy the text out of the resultant file, and post it here.
