    The dame was loaded

    Hi everyone

A while back I bought a video game titled "The Dame was Loaded" and I enjoyed playing it. Now the computer I played it on is long dead. It came from the factory loaded with windows 98.

I'd like to play it again but the only computer I've got that works uses windows 7 64 bit and I can't get it to work on that.

    Help!

You could install VMware and install Windows 98 there, where you could play the game.

Welcome to the windows 7 forums.

It looks to me that your game "The Dame was Loaded" really ran in dos on windows 98, something tells me that based on a google search that it could possibly run in a virtual windows 98 session but something tells me that your out of luck.
Many of those old dos games wrote to the hardware directly and the virtual machines hardware is most likely not compatible,

I hope I'm not out of luck. Are there any games similar to it?

I can't find any info on how to play the game so I am worthless to answer about any similar games. You might want to check with the people who put it out and see if they have a new one. But, something tells me that your probably out of luck.

    Sorry

    Also check http://www.dosgames.com/forum/about13511.html

If not try it in compatibility mode

Right click on the game exe, Properties, Compatibility and then choose Windows 98.
