Keiichi25 - 500 gig HDD for 300-400 bucks???? You're joking right? You can get a 500GB HDD for 45 buck suck as this Newegg.com - Western Digital Caviar Blue WD5000AAKX 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

I haven't looked at prices in a while... And going with what I last saw for prices which was almost a buck a gig... OF course it has changed since last I bothered ...

But then again, don't forget, thats a 7200 RPM drive... Some of the more enthusiastic types want the 10k or 15k rpm drives for better access time and that will hike the price up too.

Keiichi25 might want to have a good look at the prices for stuff here,

Newegg.com - Computer Parts, Laptops, Electronics, HDTVs, Digital Cameras and More!

For starters you can get a decent 6 GB triple channel kit for less than $50.00. Sounds like you're getting your prices from what Dell/Alienware are charging. And yes you can build a decent gaming computer for less than $800.00

Not really. I just haven't looked seriously at prices for stuff in a while. And while the rig I have is a bit expensive, it was mostly cause I needed to replace my other computer and didn't have the time or desire to really price out stuff to find what I wanted over all. Usually what reams me over is just the cost of the Processor and the OS for a system.

And in this case, also having a liquid cooling system involved.

Look guys, just because he has crappy graphics and is on a laptop, does not mean that the only games he can run are Solitaire or games made during Windows 95... Stop being a troll. There are a number of games that can run on bad graphics.

    Age of Empires 2
Age of Empires 3 (low graphics)
    Angry Birds
Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2
Command and Conquer: Generals (and Zero hour)
    Counter-Strike (maybe Source)
    Day of Defeat (maybe Source)
    Grand Theft Auto: 3
    Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (low graphics settings)
    Half-Life
    Half-Life 2 (EP1 and EP2) - low graphics settings, maybe medium
    Halo: Combat Evolved
Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven
Need for Speed: (all Need for Speeds made before Undercover) low settings
    Portal (low settings, maybe medium)
    Team Fortress 2??? (low settings)
    The Sims 2 (low settings)

    Slasher
I run GTA San Andreas on high settings on a 96MB card. Beat that

    Games it can play

Just for those of you who still read this, the Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family can play these games too:

    Team Fortress 2 (low settings)
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (low screen resolution)
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Halo (only the first one, you can try the others though on low screen resolution)
Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (maybe on low screen resolution and settings)
Call of Duty: Black Ops (maybe on low screen resolution and settings)
Trackmania (I think all of them)
    Ace of Spades (lol)
    Minecraft (duh)
LEGO Star Wars: (all LEGO Star Wars games)

NOTE that these are only the more popular games, if a game doesn't work for you on the graphics card then usually adjusting the screen resolution will work!

Don't forget Portal, 1 and 2! Portal should run fine on any graphics settings, but for Portal 2 you'll need to go to minimum. I have a similar chipset (slightly more powerful, but not by much), and I can run Portal 2 on minimum graphics at around 40 FPS on most test chambers. A select few with a lot of fluids and/or other animations have brought me down to as low as 10 before, though. When that happens, switch to 800X600 and hunch over the screen.
TF2 is actually less intensive than most people think. You can manually set the DirectX level to a lower value to gain FPS, if you don't mind crap graphics.
As for Minecraft, that's actually one of the more demanding games available, comparable to Portal 2 on medium/high settings! All those blocks take a lot of GPU to render.

    Ok cool

Awesome, I was pretty sure about Portal 1 I just forgot: thanks! I didn't know Portal 2 works, and it's a awesome game, so now I know I can safely go buy it and be able to run it. Do you know if the first COD games work? I think so, cause Halo 1 works with no lagg on the highest ultra-HD settings: does Halo 2 and Halo Reach work? If you know, then tell me! PLEASE!!! Hopeing you all have a good day, Cheers! :)

I dunno about the COD games, but I would assume so since they're about the same era as Portal 1 and thus have similar graphics. Halo 2 will probably work, but you'll need to turn your settings down. As for Halo Reach, well, good luck is all I can say. I honestly have no idea.
Just a quick tip, try the free program Game Booster from IOBit. It's quite the performance improvement. It does NOT overclock anything or mess with your hardware, but it changes a couple system settings, HARMLESSLY I might add, and temporarily shuts down unnecessary services such as background programs like Windows Update.
I've used Game Booster for over a year now, and I haven't had a single problem yet.
    Hope this helps!

Cod 4 will run on low,mw2 maybe but will be unplayable and black ops won't run. Black ops is a lot more intensive then cod 4 and mw2. Mw3 runs about the same as mw2
