The router firewalls ain't hardware based? And Windows Firewall should be sufficient right? (Sorry if I act like a noobie even though I ain't, I just like to make sure lol)

Should be, I've been using it since windows XP and had no problems, just keep real time protection on MSE

Alright then. What router do you recommend I get? I would prefer a Linksys though...

any Netgear is good, Belkin is fine but due to this I assume you've been put off a bit? I'm not too familiar with models as I haven't changed my router in 5 years.

i've yet to come across a gamer than doesn't hate GFWL , but maybe W8 may prove to be the GFWL killer?

GFWL Games crash after uninstalling GFWL
Hi, I had an issue with games that use GFWL were it was continuingly asking me to log into my profile i would hit yes and it would just ask again and again. So i decided to uninstall reinstall GFWL and now no game that uses it will load it just crashes. i Have tried numerous things...

My problem with HALO 2 (GFWL) is; i can play the game perfectly fine no lag, but at some stage in the game, random every time, my whoile computer just turns off... Im Runing: -Windows 7, 32-bit operating system (legitimate copy, cost me $300 AU) -NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT (1GB Graphics) ...

I get this error when starting some games(specifically GFWL games such as GTA IV and Resident Evil 5), can anyone help me? I'm running Windows 7 x64 Ultimate RTM.
