multimedia keys not working while playing
i have always loved and made heavy use of the volume keys on my keyboard during games. it's simply annoying to have to go into some sound menu to make adjustments.
for some reason, ever since i setup my new computer that i bought just a week ago, volume controls don't work inside games any more. the manufacturer doesn't offer drivers for windows 7 because he says it works by default - which it does... just not during games. but it used to... in windows 7. for years.
has anybody ever encountered this? are there maybe freeware tools that catch keystrokes even while one is playing? i've already tried googling for such things but didn't find anything that did that... only remapping tools. which doesn't help.
