Copying Windows 7 Spider Solitaire to Windows XP

My wife really likes the windows 7 version and would like to have that version on our second (older) computer which runs XP. Is it possible to copy the 7 version to XP?

You might try copying the file folder...C/program files/microsoft games/spidersolitaire....and try to run the game from a folder....might work, stranger things have happened, but I doubt it......

Thanks Ivan. It was worth a try but it didn't work. The message said it wasn't a valid Win32 application.

    I do appreciate your help.

Try this... Free Download Purble Place for Windows XP and How to Play Purble Place Vista Game The download contains all games that come with Vista patched to run on XP. I think, if memory serves, that the Vista and 7 versions are the same. Try it, hope it works :).

    Hi Slasher,

I used your link which sent me to Kodyaz development Resources. Further down there is a section Purple Place Download Links for WinXP. There are two files there: Vista Games for WinXP Part 1 and Part 2. When I click on either of those I go to the RapidShare Site. I hit the download button and it says Your RapidPro is Inactive but gives me two buttons (free download and activate RapidPro). I hit the free download button and nothing appears to happen. What am I doing wrong???

Just use the first set of links. When Rapidshare loads, just select Download (in the middle). Thats it.

Slasher, I'm having trouble with the RapidShare Part.

First, I have made an account there but do I have to sign in?

This is a quick summary of what I see on my old computer.

I click the link on the purple place site (noting there are only downloads now instead of three).

This sends me to the the RapidShare screen, I click on Download (middle choice). It gives me a warning about non-secure data but I tell it to download anyway. Now I get a new RapidShare screen with Upload on the left with I guess the Rapidshare network site in the middle and user components on the right. I see no where to download anything. At this point I see no relationship been the purplace file I was trying to download and where I am at in RapidShare.

Please forgive my ignorance but I'm lost.

??? You don't need an account with Rapidshare... I don't understand how you can't get this to work... All you do is click the download button in the middle... that's it. What browser are you using?

Free downloads on Rapidshare have a time delays before the download button becomes active...did you wait?
