    I have the same problem...

    "outside": https://www.speedtest.net/result/535419620.png
    ingame : 70-100ms
    XP ingame: 20ms

today I installed the RTM, before I had the RC, but nothing changed

    config:
    msi k8n neo4
    3500+
    msi 7600gs
    1gb ram
I use the integrated nforce lan card, I have an old realtek 8139 too, but no difference, bad pings on both.

im not sure I see some people have problems with gaming on both the rtm and rc and some people have no problems at all :/ not sure what it could be? maybe a driver problem maybe not a good one has been released yet? maybe just a unknown program or something running without us knowing, I really don't know but its really stressing..knowing that on xp and vista I get much lower pings but for some unknown reason ping is high in 7 pretty much one of the only flaws I have noticed in 7 would be this..runs much better than vista much faster...better looks (to me atleast) and just a better interface..less ram usage etc..I just wish I knew how to solve this problem I was planing on buying 7 home premium when it came out if the preformance was good which it is but this ping problem has changed my mind on buying it intill their is a solution.

    Part 1.
Goto start menu>right click Computer>Manage>Services and Applications>Services then search for Multimedia Class Scheduler.
Switch startup type to Disabled. (Startup type: "Manual" does not work)

    Part 2.
Goto start menu type Regedit in search push enter then locate

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Audiosrv\DependOnService
Right click Modify and remove MMCSS from the list then click ok.

    Reboot.

Thanks to Waymon in the Counter-Strike source lag/choke thread.
