    High Ping Problem.

Okay i like to play a lot of online games, and we all know that you need to have a good

connection. It was all fine until my older brother got a new windows 7 laptop (i use to be

the only one with a windows 7 pc). Now whenever he and I are on our computers at the

same time it causes my ping to spike. Could someone explain to me why this happend and

    maybe a possible fix.

Any chance you could give us you system specs, and network setup. My crystal ball is in for repairs.

I second the request for assistance via your specs. In my old age, my telepathic powers have decreased.

Aside from my shortcomings, we have both a tutorial on how to post your system specs and here is my own write-up, for which I have a personal preference, which spells out 3 different programs to help you gain info about your system and specifically requests some info that is overlooked.

Disregarding the system specs, you will find the programs listed very informative regarding what hardware and software is present on your system.

    Update your SevenForums System Specs
User CP (3rd item in the top menu bar) |
Your Profile | Edit System Spec
    (left-hand column)

To gather info, use SIW or Speccy or System Info

Add the word laptop or desktop or netbook to the
    “system manufacturer” block, for example,
    Toshiba Satellite L305D notebook.

Provide full windows version info, for example:
    MS Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 64-bit

Use the “Other Info” block for Optical Reader,
Mouse, touchpad, wifi adapter, speakers, monitor, etc

Scroll down and click on the SAVE CHANGES button.
