NFS: Hot Pursuit Install Fail. Why??

Usually when this happens, I start a monitoring tool like Total Uninstall, then start the game, play a bit and make a savegame. Then I quit and let TU create the changelog. Wham, I can see exactly where the game put the savegame. :)
