    Minimum System Requirements
OS: Windows Vista - Service Pack 1 / XP - Service Pack 3
    Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz, AMD Athlon X2 64 2.4Ghz
    Memory: 1.5GB,
    16GB Free Hard Drive Space
    Video Card: 256MB NVIDIA 7900 / 256MB ATI X1900

    Recommended System Requirements
OS: Windows Vista - Service Pack 1 / XP - Service Pack 3
Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4Ghz, AMD Phenom X3 2.1Ghz
Memory: 2 GB (Windows XP) 2.5 GB (Windows Vista)
18 GB Free Hard Drive Space

It appears your "graphics card" is integrated. If so, then you'll need a better graphics card... Integrated ones simply don't cut it. Also, your RAM size seems to be very minimal. I STRONGLY suggest having AT LEAST 3GB of RAM for gaming.

If I upgrade those do you think it will run smoothly?

Depending on the graphics card you choose, yes, also it depends on the setting you choose to play the game on. Your CPU is a lot better than mine, and I have successfully played GTA IV with my rubbish setup without problems on medium settings.

If you choose to upgrade your PC, make sure that your components match... Meaning, your motherboard has to support the types of RAM and Graphic Cards. Also, chasis space tends to matter a lot.

    Hmm...

    Agree with Skulblaka!

Add more RAM obviously, and upgrade graphic card, when you play on mediium or higher settings the game would give a huge pleasure...I am playing it now...although finished the game about 60 times before... just love it...

Actually your simple answer is 50% correct, my intel pentium 2.2ghz 1.5gb of ram could run this game with a little lags so there you go, when I get GTA IV I will film it with a cam so that GTA IV wont lose fps with Fraps.

There are alot of issues with this game on PC. You could have a high end build and it can run with alot of lag or you could have a low end pc and play the game with no lag. Rockstar even said that they had a hard time with this game when it was released for PC and they left a lot of open issues unattended.

you could be right but the game is CPU intensive the more cores you'll have the more better it'll run :) + if you will play the game on default settings it'll run fine according to the specs but when you start increasing the settings to max it chew out heavy duty pc's as well reason = Bad Port
