Do you have any specific model in mind? Because other than bad luck with DOAs, which particular mouse you want is mostly a matter of taste (and budget) rather than any particular brand being less or more reliable than others. I've used everything from generic $2 mice to $300+ gaming mice and the only thing I can state with certainty is that the generic ones are mostly crap (I've had the odd $2 mouse work for years despite the odds of them generally giving out within months), the rest are pretty much up to your preference and how much you want to spend.

Edit: I recently got one of those Tron mice by Razer and it's pretty sweet. However, I wouldn't say it was worth the money. There are perfectly serviceable mice in the $40-$60 range.

I'm not a gamer so I use Microsoft Bluetooth mouse and keyboards. I haven't had any luck with Logitech but many do. Tried two different Logitech mice and boards.

Used to have a logitec G6 or 60 battlefield 2142 mouse which I thought was amazing till I got a R.A.T 9! The difference was night and day!!
