Try running the game in compatibility mode for windows vista.

Right click shortcut -> Properties -> Compatibility Tab -> check box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" ->Pick Windows Vista (Service Pack 2)

Run the game now and it should work fine... at least that's what I had to do on Windows 7 64bit (build 7100)

I don't particularly believe running the Game in compatibility is the solution or answer as his OS is 64 bit and Crysis was made for it but it would be something to try since the OP did not really give us a generous explanation of the problem.

Things I would try, upgrading my Video, Monitor and Sound drivers to the latest versions as sometimes when installing games, drivers may become corrupted.

Crysis was a very intensive CPU/GPU hog and it brought high-end rig to its knees. Heat may be an issue here as well, check temps.

Are you running dedicated PSU wires for your GTX275?

you should be fine, and the Antec 650 has plenty of power for his 275, that is not the problem, unless he's using molex adapters but theres no reason with all the PCI-E 8 and 6 pins that PSU has.

Yoman, have you tried running it normal in 32bit. or just launching it normal and not 64bit. and without messing with settings, also what res are you trying to play at. if your playing on a 20" that 275 will tear it up and the game will play great.

Get eVGA Precision and check your temps when you start the game. I had a old GTX 280 that Crysis within seconds of starting would get to 105, and sometimed 109C and CRASH.. les 109 Celsius. so check it out with Precision, and if you don't have it. It's an amazing monitoring and overclocking program for your Nvidia card. Also, what speed, and brand is that 2x2GB of DDR3?

Last thing, you should oc that E8500, the EP45 could take it to 4.0 Ghz 24/7 without breaking a sweat.

How I run Crysis on x64

Navigate to the Crysis folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Bin64\ and create a link to "Crysis.exe". Now set to run as administrator. I hope this works for you...it did for me.

Navigate to the folder it was installed to ("C:\Program Files\Crytek\Crysis" or something) and look for the "bin" folder. Within it, it should have crysis32.exe and crysis64.exe (or bin32 & bin64). Try running the 32 bit copy. Check task manager if you're not sure you got the right one (32 bit apps show as <processname>*32.exe)

EDIT: both crysis.exe and crysis64.exe in the bin64 file needs to be to run as admin.

    And as bobtran suggested:

right click on crysis.exe located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic Arts\Crytek\Crysis\Bin64\crysis.exe and in the pop up menu select Send to>Desktop (create shortcut)
