ok i made a shortcut to crysis.exe 64x version and ran it as admin but did not work also =[....still menu of Crysis worked perfectly smooth and fine but once i clicked a key to start the game it crashed to desktop.....this is getting frustrating
Go to your Device Manager and tell me what you have under Display & Monitors...
If you see Pnp or Std or Generic drivers appear, something is definately wrong and you need to update your drivers even if you think you have already done so.
If you are sure you have, go inside each driver's properties and tell us what version & date of said drivers you are running.
I am speculating you are running Generic PnP drivers for your Monitor and Crysis (or any game) will have problems with it. Hard for me to explain, something about wrong Ghz used. All I can tell you is that I had similar issues with my games and it didn't go away until I was able to use a x64 driver for my widescreen LCD.
You need always run Crysis from the Games folder first because it causes Win7 to install some needed files for Crysis to work with Win7. Once it installs the files it's best to use the application links from the .bin folders pictured below. Just right click them and send to taskbar.
If you are still having problems I suggest you switch to the older Vista drivers, the 182 and 185 series seem to both work well for Win7. The newer Win7 driver 192.38 seems to cause problems for many.

Check your Event Viewer log - Start orb>type "event" go to custom views>administrative events and look for the crysis app crash and see if there is any faulting module:
Check to see if it's the same file/files that are always at fault.
Download the DirectX 9.0c re-distributable:

This will update/install any required DX 9.0c files
Download the latest Nvidia PhysX package:
NVIDIA PhysX System Software
If the game is still crashing, do as others suggested and roll back to a previous nvidia driver version.
*Personal Opinion* Don't bother with the x64.exe. It may be just my set-up, but I actually get worse performance in x64 mode than I do with x32 (much lower min frames, dips more constantly etc)
I don't know if this was mentioned or not. But the 64bit version of Crysis had problems during initial release and the problem was later fixed using a patch. Make sure your Crysis copy is patched the latest version. I believe its 1.3 and then try running the game again.
guys i cant find the 1.3 patch that fixes 64 bit??? can someone find me that patch
