I was playing it before 10 years, but now I have started again. I'm playing it using Emulator.

I finished RAGE too hope there will be some Standalone Expansion or DLC or RAGE 2!!! last level was beautiful im in love with ID Tech 5 engine... btw playing WWE 12 on 360 these days and grabbed some little old games for 360 for cheap Bayonetta, Dante's Inferno and Ninja Gaiden II (all hack & slash)
is there a rage update coming soon? there's a preview amd driver which has optimisations for this update.
i bought it on the steam sale, but didn't like the texture popping (or whatever you want to call it).
i plan to start the game once this patch gets released - anyone have any idea when it's due? (the game patch, not gfx driver)
I got it as well, but havent really started it yet.
Played maybe 30min if that, and went back to finish other games Im working on.
Im wondering if this is refering to the latest existing patch that causes the issue for AMD cards?
Or if there is indeed a newer patch incoming.
I never noticed any texture popping but as mentioned, I didnt play very long at all. may not have got to a point it was noticeable.
Also, in Video Options, what exactly does GPU Transcode do?
gpu transcode
the amd driver link i posted above does refer to 'upcoming update of rage', so i guess i'll wait until then to start playing it.
i've got enough to be getting on with until then, including a couple of hundred hours more of skyrim
having quite a bit of fun with dirt 3 too - i don't normally like racing games, but so far the dirt series has pleased.
For Rage i just updated the amd software\driver and everything fixed.
I found also this Transcode basically converts from the disk format to an in-memory format usable by the GPU. GPU Transcode performs this costly operation on the GPU instead of the CPU, which massively increases the number of pages that can be transcoded at a time (while maintaining 60 or near 60 hz). This has the visual effect of reducing the time between an item coming on screen and that item having the full, correct texture data available.
I'm only playing 3 or 4 right now :P
Saints Row 3
LA Noire
Battlefield 3
Modern Warfare 3
All good games and I managed to pick up LA Noire for $6 :)
