Yeah I plan on picking up Dead Space 3 too; provided EA doesn't pull that pay for day 1 DLC crap like they did with Mass Effect 3.

I still haven't got that game because of my protest. And by the time I do get it, it'll either be out as GOTY version with all the DLC for under 40 bucks, or it'll be on sale with all the DLC thrown in.

Anyway hopefully I won't be put off with their greed when they release Dead Space 3. We'll see

Hmmm.... I see it's already been released. Seems I'm a day late dollar short

    Anyway my protest still stands.

Im in a similiar position on DS3. Not only over the ME3 DLC issues as you mentioned Sygnus, but for what they done with DS2.

All the DLC on disc or in download and locked. And of course console players got charged to unlock what they already had.

PC players discovered it, and to shut everyone up EA just patched the game unlocking everything.
Now, if you buy Dead Space 2, theres no point buying any equipment because all the DLC gear is free starting at the very first shop. really ruins the game IMHO. Theres no way to disable it either unless you have the original exe.

I know many do not the problem with this. But I do.
This is not how DLC should work. DLC should be "Downloadable Content" that adds to the game.
Not content created and included in the game during develoment, or removed before release date, and locked untill you pay us more money.

This used to be done often, but you had to do something in game to get the items. Not pay for them. Totally different concept.

Yeah EA's DLC modeling is stupid. Didn't know about the unlocked content in DS2 now; might give it another go later.

At any rate between school and my photography I can afford to wait and see what games are doing before spending my hard earned money. I love Mass Effect, but I wasn't going to play EA's rip-off game. Hopefully DS3 isn't in that realm.

Does this one also have day 1 DLC or locked content?

Here's a golden reason to play Skyrim's Dragonborn DLC...

Look at all that gold. If only I could find that in real life

Anyway there are all sorts of new goodies in this game.

    Farcry 3

    Skyrim...again.

DmC [Seriously, this is sweet. Yeah, it's a 'relaunch', but I think it's the best one so far. Some might say 3 still is, but I like this one more, and it's definitely better than 1, 2, or 4.]

    Borderlands 2

Painkiller HD [Black edition is still better, but I'll at least finish it]

    Sleeping Dogs

    Hitman Absolution

    Minecraft [Just for zen]

Doom 1, 2, 3. Don't need BFG edition. Have it all anyway, and I've got it modded to look way better anyway.

The Cave. [Doublefine is strange, awesome, but strange.]

    Torchlight II

Serious Sam BFE [I will finish this, I swear it! >_<]
