I believe you need to register your game, and be log into the Rockstar Social Club when you launch the game.

Then use your cellphone to access Multi-Player.
    Your in-game cellphone, that is.

    Your setup made me drool.
You should be able to play it in maximum settings.

Cheers, hehe... makes me proud, and yeah the game does run on full settings, mind you it only uses 960mb of 2000 odd mb, of my card, but i wonder why it has an odd lag

it's a port of a console game, it will lag because it's not created specifically for your hardware

    This.
GTA IV doesn't run perfectly smooth even on the best even on the highest end PCs.
If you got it running fairly smooth overall & stable, your good to go. I wouldnt worry to much about it.

However, I would suggest a good defrag of the HD. The occasional lag you descibe "may" be a bit of harddrive hitching when the game is calling for more data to load.
A defrag could potentially help a bit in this regard.

This really only applies when the drive is heavily fragged. Depending on your hardware, that is.

thing is, i read an article a while back about how defragmenting your win 7 is a bad idea, and how it only really makes the difference in XP
