im not saying that games wouldnt have issues i just didn't like that bug i saw in his screenshot with missing textures and i heard how the game was doing bad on the xbox and ps3 also especially on ps3 so its having issues across all platforms that was my concern

    All I know is....

1- Skyrim took Game of the Year - Skyrim Takes Game of the Year 2011 for VGAs - IndustryGamers

2 - The game has had phenomenal success and record breaking sales - Some Skyrim Sales Numbers

Like I aid, you're entitled to your opinion, but for those actually playing the game, the record speaks for itself. And if you look through the 49+ pages here, it's been mostly about the game play, rather than the game bugs

Well to be truthful, "lag" is usually associated with on-line play, whereas stuttering is more of a local in-game thing. So technically speaking, non of us has had "lag" since Skyrim has no multiplayer mode

However we've all experienced "stuttering" or frame drops

So in that regards, I take it back, you are right (technically) - although lag and stutter means the same now, so maybe :)

Never got any stuttering, but did get a massive fps drop from 60 to 40 when I installed a graphics mod i downloaded, but quickly deleted it

its says on your specs you have a gtx 580, why would remove the mod? if i had that card id expect it to perform and then some. i have a gtx 260 and i throw everything at it and it doesn't disappoint.

I see occasional stuttering, but it seems to come and go quickly. For the most part, it's very smooth on my Core2Quad Q6600, nvidia 9800GT system. Skyrim defaults to medium settings, and I just slightly bump up the view distance for characters in advanced settings because I was getting shot at by bandits I couldn't yet see. Most annoying.

I'm pretty happy with it overall from a performance POV.

Well yeah I do the exact same thing, that's why i download mods that push the graphics more, but this mod made the character hair glow and mixed some textures in the trees, so removed it. If you want a real good mod go on that nexus forums and look on the top 10 for the flora overall mod, it makes all the flora in game 10x better, and i did not get any fps hit or performance drop. All my mods that i download are texture based, i even have a mod that ups the resolution for the chickens haha
