    Arrow to the knee

Like I said before, this will become a pop culture thing now - Arrow to the knee

Skyrim's "Arrow in the Knee" meme didn't only inspire an epic dubstep anthem. It also inspired this tattoo.

In regards to the lag/stutter ...

Its a funny thing really with Bethseda games. Even more so, you can monitor your FPS, and in certain places get that slight stutter.
You can see it. You can feel it.

    Yet ...
You'll be cruising along at a steady 60FPS (if using Vsync) without missing a beat.

For those who've played Fallout 3, New Vegas, Oblivion ... I think we are just used to it from thier games.

I hate to say it but its almost become like a Bethseda game "signature" (at least to me)
And although it is mildly annoying at first, its nothing game breaking.

But despite some bugs and issues, Skyrim is still a great game and I would certainly recommend even at the $60USD price tag.

That's perfectly said, and one I completely agree with. Yeah, it is a Bethesda game signature.

    Another broken quest....

    Spoiler Alert

OK, I've been given a task (The Shill Job) by the Thieves Guild to plant evidence in a house in Whiterun - Heimskr house.

Problem is I can't find the house, and it doesn't appear on the local map. In addition, there no map marker appearing for it.

The only possible explaination I can come up with is that the house was destroyed during the Stormcloak attack because I see what used to be a house in that area but it is now inaccesable and doesn't show on the map.

BTW Heimskr is the priest the Wind District of Whiterun, near a large statue of Talos and large tree. He's the one shouting his sermon.

Bottom line is I'm doing the Thieves Guild way after I did the cival war so that house is gone, yet it pops up as a quest from Vex in the Theves Guild, and is thus broken.

I'll see if I can reset this quest by asking for another shill job since these quest locations are generated randomly and post back.

The house is basically in front of him. Coming up the stairs, i think its on the right. I read the house does indeed become bugged after the assault. Your gonna have to use the console and use setstage to get past it.

Yeah I said I know where it is, he problem is the house is destroyed in the battle for Whiterun. So..... if you get the quest from Vex after the battle, it's a bug as the house is no longer there - 6 crippled quests - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Message Board for Xbox 360 - GameFAQs

3-The Shill Job: Plant the Stolen Gold Ring in Heimskr's house in Whiterun.

--Heimskr is the Crazy Street Preacher in Whiterun. His house was destroyed in the battle for Whiterun.
Anyway what I did was go back to Vex and tell her I was quiting the job and then turned around and asked for another one. You get a quest failed, but...

Yeah I could have; I'm just not used to using the command console. In fact I've yet to use is for anything. I kind of feel like I'm cheating if I do. That's a me thing :)

    Thanks.

I've found a few Broken Quests myself, mostly misc quests, one main quest, any interaction with esburn and he doesn't initiate the correct line and start the quest/continue with the quest (which was quite gutting considering he is required to proceed with the dragon quests), i cannot do any missions for the thieves guild as brynjolf won't talk to me, whenever i try to talk to him, he says "hmm" and walks off, a random quest came up after i picked up an artefact saying speak to the jarl of whiterun, but it was mid quest doing the battle for whiterun, and now the right dialogue won't show up for that quest.

Overall, i used console to setstage for the main quest with esburn but the others i will just have to do without.
