In 15" CRTs games like Assassin's Creed,LA NOIRE are displayed in blackbars on top and bottom(cinemascope type view). Will it be the same case for Samsung SyncMaster CRT - 17" [ Samsung SyncMaster 793MB - display - CRT - 17" - CRT Monitors - CNET Archive ]? My friend wants to know if games mentioned can played in proper full screen.

more than likely. Crt's have an aspect ratio of 4:3, where as modern monitors have widescreen 16:9. Games are designed with wide screen in mind. The only thing I can think of is to play the game within a window, but on a 15 or 17" screen it would be a bit small.
