what do you mean by 'offline multiplayer'? most multiplayer is done over the internet. do you mean lan?

also, we need some more info on your graphics card - your system specs just say '256'.

the gfx card is the most important component when it comes to playing modern 3D games.

Based on your specs, I'll venture a guess and say you have a laptop. If that's the case, you probably won't be playing any recent FPS games (First Person Shooter).

Good first person shooters: Call of duty series, which you probably know, the older ones have desent graphics and will play just fine on a laptop. If however you have a decent rig, get newer versions of COD.

Serious sam is a bfg shooter tipe game, not as story based as COD. But fun for some...

Medal of honour, good army game....

Borderlands is a desent single player....GREAT "ofline multiplayer" game, playing this with friends is a blast, and it has some good entertainment. And with all the expansions it will keep you busy.

I dont really play allot of first person shooters, but The Call of Duty serieses are some great games, singleplayer aswell as multiplayer.

What card do you have? 1gb means nothing in terms of performance.

Think an explanation is in order.
Graphics cards come in different specs, low through to high performance. They come in different versions within generations.
For example nvidias latest range starts at the 520 model which is very basic and poor in performance, through to the the 590 which is an all out dual core top end card.
Each card has an amount of DDR5 ram, but that doesn't indicate its level of performance. You could get a very low powered card with a lot of ram but doesn't make it good.

Sooo what card do you have? It will tell you within device manager.
